The Connection Check attempts to send UDP packets to the server
and expects to receive the proper response. It will check
the main server and any applicable nodes. It works as a Java
applet that will test the range of ports and nodes available
on the server.
Clicking on the Details button will present a list of the
probed addresses and ports:
- If response packets are received, the successful entry
is marked OK and the elapsed time is presented.
- If no response packets are received, the failing entry
is marked ERR.
If the Connection Check fails, check the following:
- Personal firewall - It is possible that your computer
is running a software firewall that blocks the network
traffic. Windows XP and Mac OS X include such a firewall.
- Corporate firewall - Your company firewall may need
to be safely configured to allow Marratech to work properly.
- If you are already in a meeting on the server, the ports
the tool checks may be occupied and fail.
