Moderation Control
Marratech, in combination with the Marratech Manager, can enable moderator functionality in the software.

Here is a quick description of the roles:

  • Moderator: Unrestricted plus possibility to kick and lock. Also ability to upgrade and downgrade other users' roles during a meeting.
  • Presenter: Unrestricted without ability to downgrade / upgrade users.
  • Attendee: Only send public audio, video and chat and use Telepointer to point.
  • Listener: Receive only client.

You can determine the moderation level of a user just by pointing at them in the Participants module:

  • [M]: Moderator
  • [P]: Presenter
  • [A]: Attendee
  • [L]: Listener

I f you have moderator priviligies you can change the moderation level for others in the meeting by right clicking (alt + mouse click on a Mac) a user in the Participants list.

Note that you cannot upgrade a user to moderator during the meeting, that has to be done from the administrative interface of the server software.

In fact, all the initial moderation settings are made for each e-meeting room/user/group from the administration interface of the server software (Marratech Manager).

Change moderation level

By right-clicking in the Participants module, but not directly on one of the users, you can even set the moderation level for all users.

This is useful for instance after a lecture when people interested in discussing the lecture stays and the teacher then raises the moderation level for the interested parties.
