Making The Pieces Fit

Jigsaw Systems Ltd, the UK's largest supplier of specialist IT solutions to the creative market, has added Marratech to its extensive portfolio.

The company believes Marratech puts all the pieces in place for better remote collaboration. Said Commercial director, Dr Brian Jones: "We looked at various conferencing and e-meeting products but found the more traditional enterprise solutions such as video conferencing failed to meet our client's real needs.

"Marratech is perfectly suited to creative companies because remote clients interact not just with each other, but also with the piece of work being discussed which is being published live from its source application.  This can be anything from a simple design to streamed video with sound. Also, Marratech's cross-platform capability is very important to us, as our clients are working with PCs, Apple, Linux and Solaris."

The company will also use Marratech to communicate with some of its key accounts. "We think it is a great idea to encourage them to communicate with us as well as their own clients. It's just a case of saying 'download the free client software and we will show you the future'."

Marratech is the only cross-platform e-meeting solution to combine high quality voice, video, whiteboard and application sharing in an encrypted, secure internet environment. It works on existing hardware and systems, is simple to install and easy to use. It brings enormous improvements in efficiency and productivity plus a rapid return on investment by eliminating conference and communication costs, travel time and expense.

Since the launch in 1992, Jigsaw Systems have taken their annual sales to £40 million. Jigsaw has a large team of IT consultants that fully understand the specialist needs of their customers who include leading creative agencies, publishers, recording studios/artistes, movie makers/animators, games developers and architects.
