Congratulations Mikael and Johan, PhD!!!
It is fun to see someone in with strong associations to Marratech succeed so well.
As you may know, my colleague and Marratech co-founder Peter Parnes also works with the Media Technology group at the Lulea University of Technology.
Mikael Drugge, PhD. has worked together with Peter Parnes at LTU for many years and is now lending us a strong hand at Marratech. Yesterday, Mikael was awarded his PhD. in front of an international jury. You can read his thesis here.
While I could not attend his presentation, the grapevine says that he showed no signs of being nervous and did a very good presentation. Well done!
And on the subject of PhDs, I forgot to mention that our former colleague, Johan Kristiansson also became Johan Kristiansson, PhD. on November 11th under the guidance of Peter Parnes as well. Congratulations Johan!

I have had the pleasure to work with Johan and am just getting to know Mikael. They are both focused, down to earth hard working people. The kind of people that deserve the PhD. title, while not letting it get to their heads.
In fact, you could say that of a lot of our research "cousins" that are now PhDs.

Marratech at Educause 2006, oct 9-12
Hi all,
EDUCAUSE is a nonprofit association whose mission is to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology.
Every major US university is a member and they attract a lot of attention from overseas as well. Their major event this year will be in Dallas, october 9th to 12th.
Of all the conferences (both enterprise and educational) that we attend, this is by far the best. The speakers, the attendees and the overall quality of the conference make it very worthwhile.
If you are in the market for a solution such as ours, we welcome you to attend and meet the vendors and try out all the software being demoed. It is the best way to make up your mind and get a hands on experience with Marratech, which we know you will like.
